Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: July 2026
Introduction
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made on behalf of The UK Accountant Ltd pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps the firm has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its own operations and supply chains.
Our Business
The UK Accountant Ltd is a UK-based accountancy firm providing accountancy, tax, company formation and business advisory services to individuals and businesses across the UK. We operate from our office in Altrincham and form part of a wider group of UK professional services brands.
Our Policies
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. Our policies reflect our commitment to:
- Upholding human rights and fair employment practices
- Ensuring all employees are paid at least the National Living Wage
- Providing a safe and respectful working environment
- Conducting due diligence on suppliers and business partners
- Encouraging the reporting of concerns through appropriate channels
Due Diligence in Our Supply Chains
As a professional services firm, our supply chain primarily consists of IT, software, professional services and office-related suppliers. We assess suppliers based on their reputation, compliance with legal requirements and alignment with our values. We expect all suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to demonstrate their own commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
Risk Assessment
We consider the risk of modern slavery within our own operations to be low, given the nature of our business and the professional qualifications of our staff. However, we remain vigilant and continue to monitor risk across our supply chain, particularly where suppliers operate in higher-risk sectors or jurisdictions.
Training and Awareness
We provide guidance to staff on identifying and reporting signs of modern slavery. All employees are expected to uphold our values and to report any concerns through our internal reporting channels.
Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with our business, please contact us immediately at hello@ukaccountant.co.uk. All reports will be treated seriously and investigated appropriately.
